KiddyHawk is a family run childcare service and our aim is to provide early childhood care and education in a safe, welcoming, adopting and nurturing environment.
We value the importance of maintaining an optimum level of care and education for all children. We will select Educators based on knowledge and values, vision for children and learning, and commitment to families.
Flexibility
Our operating hours are from 6.00am to 6.00pm
Years of experience have made it clear that parents often need a care on short notice. As long as we're free when you get in touch, we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Don’t hesitate to call whenever you need. A highly convenient and safe option for parents who are always on the go. Flexible care arrangements for families including early finish Fridays, occasional Saturdays, overnight care, drop off and/or pick up.
Community
A sense of community plays an important role in the development of childrens feelings of belonging and security.
We will participate in excursions within our local community where appropriate. Storytime at the library, playgroups, community events, visits to or from community workers, eg: fire brigade, police, dentist.
Sustainability
Young children need help to realise the significance of caring for and protecting their environment.
We will embed sustainable practice into everyday activities. This will include looking after the chickens, feeding them, collecting eggs, tending to the garden and harvesting the vegetables. The children will learn about recycling and re use items where possible, reducing their carbon footprint.
Technology
Support learning by providing children with opportunities to “integrate technologies into children’s play experiences and projects.”
We will value the role that technology plays in modern day life. This will be incorporated into play experiences through dramatic play, educational games and stories, using the ipad for research and activitiies. We will utilise technology
with families through E-Portfolios and computerised attendance records and receipts.

What is Family Day Care
Family Day Care is an approved form of child care that is provided in the family day care educators own home. Family day care educators are early childhood education and care professionals, registered with a family day care service that is responsible for approving, supporting, training and advising its educators.
